Following his doctoral work, remains involved in the isolation and identification of natural products with biological activity, with emphasis on studies of oxidant and antioxidant properties. New research however started in the area of chiral compounds of Chemometrics (Construction of database for the use of Neural Networks in predicting the computational enantioselectividade), Biodiesel, Biofuels, Analysis of Xenobiotics, Antibiotics and Pesticides, Analysis of Proteins, Radical Chemistry, Synthesis of Ionic Liquids, Proteomics, Biosensors, involving all the expertise developed in the area of chromatography and hyphenated techniques, with emphasis on the GC-MS and LC-MS, allowing its application to new areas of research.
