Interesses Científicos

Na sequência do seu trabalho de doutoramento, continua envolvido no isolamento e identificação de produtos naturais com actividade biológica, com ênfase nos estudos de propriedades oxidantes e antioxidantes. Os novos trabalhos de investigação entretanto iniciados na área da Quimiometria de compostos quirais (Construção de base de dados, para uso de Redes Neuronais na previsão computacional da enantioselectividade), Biodiesel, Biofuel, Análise de Xenobióticos, Antibióticos, Pesticidas, Análise de Proteínas, Química Radicalar, Síntese de Líquidos Iónicos, Proteómica, Biosensores, envolvem toda a especialização desenvolvida na área da cromatografia e técnicas hifenadas, com ênfase no GC-MS e LC-MS, permitindo a sua aplicação a novas áreas de investigação.
