The VIII Ibero-American NMR Meeting will be celebrated along with the 9th GERMN Biennial Meeting and the 6th Iberian NMR Meeting in Lisbon (Portugal) from 26 to 29 June 2018. The Meeting will be organized by the Portuguese NMR Group of the Portuguese Chemical Society (SPQ) in collaboration with the NMR Group (GERMN) of the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry (RSEQ) and the Brazilian Association of NMR users (AUREMN). The aim is promoting the research in NMR spectroscopy, including method developments and applications in a broad range of scientific fields.

The 1st Ibero-American NMR Meeting was organized by AUREMN in 2005 in Angra do Reis (Brazil) and since then it has become the ideal forum to exchange and share scientific ideas, expand the collaboration between NMR groups in the IberoAmerican community, helping to build strong research networks within the Iberian community and at an international level.

The Meeting consists of several plenary and invited lectures given by internationally renowned researchers, and scientific communication presented as oral or posters. The participation of PhD students and postdocs as well as of young researchers is highly encouraged.

On behalf of the organizing committee, we want to personally invite you to participate in this special conference which will offer the Ibero-American NMR spectroscopists a large audience and a great opportunity to present their results. Besides an interesting scientific program, we will intend to prepare attractive social activities for the participants, as we are convinced that establishing scientific collaborations is enhanced by sharing and enjoying some time with colleagues and friends. Lisbon is a multicultural city, spread across seven hillsides that overlook the river Tagus and the Atlantic sea. The city has several Gothic cathedrals, majestic monasteries and several museums, composing a colourful cityscape, but a visit is not complete without wandering the narrow lanes of Lisbon’s lovely backstreets. We are looking forward to meeting you and hope this will be a fruitful and pleasant scientific event.
