Around 5,000 secondary school students from across the country gathered at the Caparica Campus on April 15, with a shared goal: to experience first-hand the country’s largest showcase of Science, Engineering, and Technology.
The Department of Chemistry took part with 45 activities, spread across several laboratories and spaces located on floors 0 (Research Units), 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6. Throughout the day, students had the opportunity to enter laboratory environments, take part in scientific experiments, and experience university life up close.
The initiative was supported by more than 320 volunteers from the Department of Chemistry, who guided visitors and presented the academic offer — three undergraduate programmes and seven master’s degrees — while answering questions and sharing their experiences.
