Master’s thesis defence in Gastronomic Sciences

Last Friday, 13 March, Beatriz da Sorte Bernardo Adriano Muimela Maurício successfully defended her Master’s thesis in Gastronomic Sciences.

Her thesis, “Hospital Gastronomy: Food and Humanised Interventions to Improve Satisfaction and Acceptability of Hospital Diets in Nampula, Mozambique”, supervised by Professor Bruno Leite (DQ) and Nutritionist Ramula Issa, aimed to promote improvements in the Food and Dietetic Nutrition Service and in the care of hospitalised patients, through interventions based on the practices and tools of Hospital Gastronomy. This is a quasi-experimental study with a qualitative-quantitative approach.
