On March 16, Maria Moniz Pinto successfully defended her Master’s thesis in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering.
Her work, entitled "Sustainable Recycling of an Epoxy-Based Thermoset Composite", was carried out at Feyecon Development & Implementation B.V. (The Netherlands), under the supervision of Dr Inga Grigaliunaite (Feyecon) and Professor Teresa Casimiro (DQ). The main objective of this work was to explore recycling strategies for an epoxy/hemp composite, using chemical treatments and complementary characterisation methods, with a dual focus on fibre recovery and resin depolymerisation.
