Elemental Analysis

Description

The analyzer operates on the basis of combustion dynamics of the sample. The sample is weighed into tin capsules and introduced into the combustion reactor using an automatic sampler, together with a certain amount of oxygen.

After combustion, the gases N2, CO2, H2O e SO2, are transported by the helium stream through the copper surface from inside the reactor, separated by GC column and finally detected by thermal conductivity (TCD). The total analysis time is 12 minutes.

Equipment

The equipment is completely controlled by computer software. In the final analysis it generates a complete report with results of sample composition in CHNS in total percentage from 0.01% (100 ppm) to 100%.

Sample

Solid and liquid samples, homogeneous (2-3 mg). In the case of multiple replicas, this value should be proportional.

Analysis Request

The analysis request should be filled and signed by the head of the institution that makes the request (Download the application form). Analyses are performed by order of submission of application in laboratory analysis. The results are given within 24 hours. In the case of large number of samples, the response time is agreed with the authority solicitor.

Upon request of an analysis the client should contact the technician directly responsible for the equipment to clarify all issues that involve the analysis.

Delivery and receipt of samples

1 - Samples must be clearly identified, so that during manipulation does not erase the identification, and should be delivered well packaged.

2 - Delivery of results will be made by e-mail in PDF format, to be sent simultaneously to the applicant and responsible. In the case of complaints, they should be made within 15 working days.

3 - The remainder of the samples will be stored in the laboratory for 15 days after completion of the analysis, after which will be eliminated.
